Greetings! Many of you know me as Ryan Cosbert, the abstract/conceptual artist. But today, I want to invite you to take a deeper look into my life beyond the canvas. This space will be where I share my art reviews, studio updates, research findings, daily musings, and anything else that sparks my passion and compels me to speak up.
I’ve wanted to start this blog for all of 2024, so what better time than now to take the leap? I’m excited to finally embark on this journey and share not only my creative process but also my personal thoughts and experiences with you.
For me, the abstract perspective is a unique lens through which to witness and inhabit the world. Abstract art offers a beauty that’s difficult to explain—a beauty found in fragments, in the spaces between things. It invites you to see life not as a clear, straightforward picture, but as a collection of moments, feelings, and ideas, all woven together in ways that may be unfamiliar yet deeply meaningful.
I’ve come to realize that my thoughts can’t be confined to just the brush in my hand. I have so much to express—so much to share—that goes beyond what I can communicate visually. Starting this blog feels like a way to free my thoughts, to let them flow without limitation, but to also archive them. It’s my way of being vulnerable, sharing pieces of myself in hopes of inspiring, connecting, and building something meaningful with all of you who take the time to explore what I have to say.
